Johanna developed an appreciation for Art from a very young age. Born and raised in the Netherlands, her ambition in life, was always to broaden her horizons through travel; immersing herself in the local culture, and joining many artistic communities in the countries that she visited. 

She has been fortunate to realize those dreams and along the way was introduced to the wonderful world of porcelain painting. It all started in Brazil in 1999 where her curiosity for ceramics and porcelain turned into her passion.
